How to Win The Game Online And Dominate Your Niche – and do it for much less than your competitors

Warning: You are losing business if you are not on the internet and if you are missing any of these points.

A massive wave of companies and businesses are flocking to the internet in droves. We all know that’s its well past the fad phase and should be a vital part of your marketing.

Heck, you are probably getting your butt kicked by your competitors if you are not on or not doing it right.

If you’ve been on my site or getting my material for a while, you know that my goal is to see you win and the best way to do this is to empower you as much as possible.

The online game has different rules that very few people will tell you. Salespeople are commission based and won’t tell you the whole truth. Most consultants will paint pretty pictures and lack all the skills and knowledge you need to be successful.

I will hand you the keys to winning online

Let me tell you what typically happens when companies are going online.

First stop: The Keyword Candy Store!!!
People visit the keyword candy store and will pick out several hundred to several thousand keywords.

You can get very Googley-Eyed at the Keyword Candy Store. Many can look good.

And if you are starting with or SEO/SEM, where do you start? Which ones do you start with??

Someone smart could reduce this list down to less, say it’s 50 or 60. Again here are the big questions…

1. What ones do you start with?
2. What are the money ones?
3. What if you start with the wrong ones?

If you can’t answer these correctly, not only would you lose money, you would also lose valuable time to your competitors.

It takes anywhere from 2-3 months to start making progress and can take up to 6 months to get on page 1 with SEO and SEM. If you start with the wrong keywords, imagine how much that would suck getting ranked on the first page only to find that you aren’t making any money!

That would suck!!

… ever hire the wrong people or take ads out in the wrong places? How much fun was that??

Same thing here.

Now imagine the opposite…

Imagine doing heavy testing in a real short period of time (1-2 months) and have the “Money Keywords” that….

  • There are lots of traffic on
  • Are being converted into sales
  • Avoiding, eliminating or dealing with prospects that are tire kickers
  • Easily be converted into purchases (or phone calls, request for quotes, etc.)
  • You can use them to eliminate price shoppers
  • Will separate you from your competition so you become the only choice for your customers
  • Will speak your customers language and instantly endear them to you
  • Where you can immediately prove that you can make money off of them

The main focus of the first part of keywords is to find the money keywords and make sure that you can profit from them. For example, once you prove that for every $1 you invest, you make say $2.27. Or whatever the number is, once you are profitable, then you crank up the SEO & SEM.

The BEST way to do this is with Adwords

When going online there are 3 things critical to your success. The first is getting traffic that we already touched on using Adwords. And you don’t want to start with all of them, if you want fast results, there are things you need to know.

Understanding keywords and Adwords is only one part you need to know. There are really

3 Keys Critical to Winning Online:

To be effective online, you MUST incorporate all 3 areas of focus – traffic, conversion and profitability. And just as importantly, it must revolve around the type of client you want to attract.

ANY deviation from this gives feeble results and doesn’t work.

Most businesses fail to make the gains they could online because they do not understand what to do and how to do it. To win online, there are 3 main points that must be mastered:

1. Traffic
2. Conversion
3. Profitability

You must incorporate all 3. To leave one out is a waste of time, money and energy.

Traffic is people seeing your ad and clicking on the link to go to your site. Traffic is best determined by starting with Adwords. The Internet and Google operate with keywords. Keywords are the search terms that people type in. Adwords will eliminate massive waste vs. starting directly with SEO/SEM.

Conversion is people taking action and clicking on your ad, website or it can be what they do after clicking on your website. Conversion can be making a purchase, filling out a form or calling for an appointment. A more advanced technique of using a free report to separate you from the competition might be good to use on this project. Your website and the salesmanship on the website make all the difference here.

Profitability is, well, you know… if you are making money.

If you don’t focus on all 3, you will waste your time, money and energy. Focusing on all 3 will allow you to quickly dominate your market and become top dog.

All 3 areas MUST operate hand in hand. It must be congruent and it must be done in the right order using the right words and message.

We talked about keywords and Adwords to get traffic and how vital it is to do it a certain way to eliminate waste and win faster.

Now let me explain conversion. Conversion plays a huge role regarding Profitability…

Conversion and The Secret To Dominating Your Niche:

Here’s the million dollar question when it comes to conversion…

If you got a call from a client interested in your product, would you have a graphic designer or website designer run the lead?

OF COURSE NOT!!!

Then why the heck would you have a graphic designer, website designer, or anyone that knew nothing about sales develop your online sales message??

Here’s a little know fact: your website and the pages on your site are your online sales people.

The page must do the selling for you until the prospect engages you live in person. Then the sale is handed over to the sales person.

You are losing massive amounts of business if you are having a designer make the pages on your site.

When I’m live in front of people, they usually say something like “Holy crap Chris, I get it. I’ve had it all wrong.  I don’t want my designer doing the selling for me”

My point here is that every market has different specifics about them.

  • Different buying languages and ways they like to be talked to
  • Different tones
  • Different ways they like to buy

And if the person doing your site hasn’t spent years successfully selling, they haven’t got a clue and it’s costing you money.

In order to be an expert at what you do, you need 10,000 hours of practice in your field. That’s 10,000 hours of learning, testing, proving and refining.

You have this, you are an expert.
You have this in your business. I have it in mine. I have over 20,000 hours in sales (also have another 10,000+ in marketing and advertising). I love being in the trenches. I love mucking it up.

1st Ring – 80% of your profits come from 20% of your clients. These are the 20%’ers. They are highly attracted to you and want to work with you.

2nd Ring – they like you, are attracted to you at some level and are drawn to inquire more

3rd Ring – they agree with some things you say and disagree on others. You are of enough interest to them that they may hang around for a while and might contact you

Beyond the 3rd Ring on a dart board doesn’t score you any points. Same story here. Don’t invest time with these.

We start by analyzing who your Dead-centre Bulls-eye Prospect and Clients are. This is what everything we do revolves around.
